I am part of the Collections Analysis and Recovery team dealing with vehicle repossessions, pending payments and arrears. In the summer of 2020, I began building a Machine Learning model to predict delinquency trends based on consumer behavior patterns due to COVID-19. In the fall of 2020, I extended the scope of my Delinquent Prediction model update by integrating an additional model with additional features and a more in-depth study of the impact of the COVID-19 bailout program.

Over the past six months, I have been given the opportunity to interact with various team members and experts at BMW FS, maximizing my learning experience. I explored various tree-based techniques in R and Python, such as Random Forest and XG-Boost, and created visualizations in Tableau. I presented my findings to the Business Group and published a tabular dashboard with COVID-19 statistics and debt trends.
I am grateful for all the instructions from my manager – Dr. Kathryn Huber and Mentor -Mr. Iqbal Mohammad, I have a deep understanding of BMW’s business process and assembly strategy. I also thank Lindsey Osborne, Corey Notman, and Diana Irwin for the onboarding process and making me feel at home. Finally, my program director is Dr. Gaurav Shekhar, Sivya Leventhal, UTD Career Management Center and all JSOM faculty for their support. Working in Central Ohio
